I explored the concept of light in the studio, recognising photography’s roots in science and its role in helping us understand the world in new ways. This project required me to think scientifically—observing, questioning, and experimenting. I reflected on what I found visually compelling and reinterpreted it through a scientific lens.
For this project, I documented light using long shutter speeds to capture movement, shape, and form. By slowing time down through the camera, I was able to reveal details of light that cannot be seen with the naked eye and explore the beauty of how it behaves.
